The Darvel Curling Club held its end of season game on Sunday. It was a fitting end to what has been a fabulous season of curling. The final trophy of the year was won by skip Mark Meehan’s team including Lou Costello, Frances Fyfe and Rachel McNaught.
A meal and the annual trophy award followed with the usual social banter and bon homme from everyone. Darvel is a great club to join for beginners and more experienced players and curling is a growing sport being taken up across all ages.
The club represented Darvel in several inter-club competitions and friendlies throughout the season representing the town well on each occasion.
